92 % of respondents do not use official government economic predictions
Despite the continued uncertainty of UK economy, the majority of UK small business owners have revealed that official government economic projections play no part in the majority of their planning and decision-making. A survey of SME owners found that 92 % of respondents do not use official government economic predictions in their planning processes.
The research discovered that over half (58%) do not believe the predictions relate to their business, whilst 31% dismiss them as inaccurate. Of those surveyed, a hefty 83% did not plan on seeking any advice from external sources this year.
